Govt not to abandon Abbas Town affectees; assures CM
KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has assured that the government would not leave alone the affectees of Abbas Town tragedy.
This he said while talking to media persons after a meeting with a dealgation of Majlis-e- Wahdat-e- Muslimeen (MWM) here on Friday.
He said that the provincial government would take all possible measures for the rehabilitation of the affectees.
He also assured that the culprits involved in the bomb explosion will be arrested at all cost.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that the government has arranged flats for the affectees whose houses had collapsed due to the explosion while a job would be given to one of the heirs of each deceased.
The delegation comprising Allama Amin Shaheedi, Allama Sadiq Raza Taqvi, Allama Nasir Abbas and Sabar Karbalai expressed satisfaction over the provision of treatment of injured persons and plan for provision of flats to the affectees.
The Chief Minister also constituted a committee headed by Senator Faisal Raza Abidi for fulfillment of the demands, submitted by the delegation of MWM.
