KARACHI: ABBA’s blonde girl Agnetha Faltskog is all set to make a pop come back at the age of 62 for her upcoming Solo album “Simply A” on May 13 this year.
One of the most popular and energetic bands of all time, ABBA was formed in the ‘70s and became extremely famous after winning the Eurovision Song Contest with Waterloo in 1974. Their band split up in 1984 and unfortunately they never re-united.
Described in the media as being a recluse, the vocalist said she could not resist a return to the studio after nine years.
Agnetha is a musician, song writer and singer who has not done anything related to music for a while, but seems much happier to have music back in her life.
“I had not written music in a very long time, but when I sat down at the piano it came to me very naturally,” said Faltskog.
Her very first song of the album “When You Really Loved Someone” is already out and available on all digital music platforms like iTunes, Spotify along with a music video on YouTube. She also has done a duet with a British singer Gary Barlow of “Take That”.
On all the new tracks she collaborated with Swedish songwriter and producer Joergen Elofsson, who has penned hits for artists like Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson and Celine Dion, this being one of her projects that she has co-written in a number of years.
Let’s see if she lives up to her fans’ expectations. We wish the Swedish diva good luck.
