
Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi briefed the Prime Minister about the law and order situation in the province and the measures taken by the provincial government to maintain peace and amity in the province.
The Prime Minister said that Balochistan was one of the priorities of his government and all possible assistance would be extended by the federal government for the progress and prosperity of the province.
The Prime Minister said that the government accorded top priority to the development of Balochistan with a view to bring revolutionary change in the life style of the people and remove the sense of deprivation among the masses of the province.
He said that under the 7th National Finance Commission Award, the government had diverted a huge amount to the province in the shape of gas royalty besides allocating sufficient funds for the progress and prosperity of the people of this province.
The Prime Minister said that Balochistan was endowed with enormous hydrocarbon and mineral deposits and there was dire a need of the time to exploit them for the well-being of the masses of this province as well as overall socio-economic development of the country.
He said that Oil and Gas Exploration activities would not only help alleviate poverty and backwardness from the area but also generate employment opportunities for the youth of Balochistan.
The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the law and order situation in the province and directed the authorities concerned to take cognizant steps for more coordination among the law enforcement agencies in this regard.
Governor Balochistan briefed the Prime Minister about the law and order situation in the province and development projects being undertaken with the funding of the federal government.
