HYDERABAD: The process of scrutiny of the nomination papers filed by the contesting candidates for three National and six Provincial Assembly seats of Hyderabad district was completed on Sunday evening.
On Sunday, the Returning Officers (ROs) rejected the nomination forms of 40 more candidates who filed nominationd for NA-219, NA-220 and NA-221 as well as PS-45, PS-46, PS-47, PS-48, PS-49 and PS-50 on grounds of non-payment of utility bills and submission of insufficient data.
According to details, the Returning Officer for NA-219 rejected the nomination forms of Farzand Ali, Saeeduddin and Majid Khan, while the nomination forms of Noor Alam Shah, Abdul Hasnain Mirza and Tahir Farooqui were rejected by the Returning Officer for NA-220. Similarly, the Returning Officer for NA-221 rejected the nomination forms of Mir Haider Ali Talpur and Agha Abid Ali.
For Provincial Assembly seats, the nomination forms of Abdul Sattar Jato, Muhammad Hussain Arain, Asif Ali and Karamat Ali were rejected for PS-45, Shahid Azmat Ali, Noor Alam Shah, Harb Ali, Syed Wajahat Ali, Ashraf Khan and Ahsan Raza for PS-46, Ahsan Raza Mirani, Agha Abid Ali, Ghulam Rasool Rajput, Nizamuddin Arain and Arbab Ali for PS-47, Anwer Ali, Ameer Ahmed and Muhammad Khalid Abbasi for PS-48, Majid Ahmed, Zafar Ali, Shahzadi Tariq, Saeeduddin, Ahmed Haider and Malik Asif for PS-49 and the nomination forms of Ashraf Ali, Ghulam Kazim Kerio, Mir Haider Ali Talpur, Ghazi Khan, Tariq Hassan Khoso and Agha Abid Ali for PS-50 Hyderabad.
