imageMULTAN: Vice Chairman, Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf Shah Mahmood Qureshi Saturday accused the former PPP government of playing with emotions of people in the name of Seraiki province, saying it did nothing practical to achieve the goal.

Addressing a meeting in NA-150, he also criticised the PML-N leadership for what he called deceiving people of the region.

He claimed that the PTI would never betray the masses if it came to power after general elections.

Qureshi alleged that the sons of former Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani were involved in ephedrine and Haj corruption scandals. Qadir Gilani and Musa Gilani would have to return taxpayers' money one day, he claimed. He urged the people to elect clean people for a better tomorrow.

The former foreign minister lamented that about Rs 72 billion, which was more than the total education and health budget in South Punjab, was spent only on one development project in Lahore.

He charged most of the development budget of south Punjab was shifted to Lahore on the directives of the PML-N leadership. He criticised PML-N legislators who were elected from south Punjab but kept quiet on the exploitation of their land.

Meanwhile, Shah Mahmood Qureswhi also visited Ghauspura in NA-150 where he addressed a public gathering. He urged people to reject people who had failed to deliver. Many local communities including the Ansaris, Khokhars and others announced their support to the PTI candidate in the constituency.
