KARACHI: The Rajab moon has not been sighted and as such first of Rajab will be on Sunday, May 12.
This was announced by the Chairman of the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee, Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman, here on Friday.
He was presiding over the meeting of the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee, at the Met Office Complex here on Friday.
The Zonal Committees of the Ruet-i-Hilal Committees held their meeting at their respective centres.
Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman announced that no evidence was received from anywhere in the country regarding the sighting of the Rajab moon.
As such it was unanimously decided that the first of Rajab would fall on Sunday, May 12, he added.
