LAHORE: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) has nominated Javed Hashmi as a candidate for prime minister.
Talking to the media, PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi announced the party decision on Saturday. He said that Sheryar Afridi and Munazza Hassan would be the party's candidates for the election of speaker and deputy speaker of the lower house of the parliament.
He further said that PTI chief Imran Khan would be the parliamentary leader of the party in the National Assembly while Dr Arif Alvi would be assigned the task of Chief Whip in the house.
