PESHAWAR: Directorate of Health services FATA is organising an award distribution ceremony for best polio team workers at FATA Secretariat on May 28 wherein cash awards and certificates would be distributed among 83 selected field workers.
Talking to APP here on Monday Communications & Reporting Officer EPI FATA, Shoaib Babar said that it was the second ceremony of its kind, the earlier one held in August, 2012.
He said that cash prize of Rs 12,000 each would be given to 21 Area In Charges and Rs 10,000 each to 62 team members including 14 female workers for their outstanding performance in the field.
Moreover, he said that commendatory certificates signed by the Governor would also be given away to the selected Area Incharges and team members.
Shoaib informed that EPI FATA would provide cash prizes to these front line workers, who are selected on the recommendations of their respective agency surgeons.
Additional Chief Secretary FATA Dr Tashfeen Khan would be a chief guest on the occasion whereas Secretary Social Sectors FATA Dr Aftab Durrani, Director Health Services FATA Dr Fawad Khan and representatives of UNICEF, WHO would also be in attendance.
