LAHORE: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hasan, has impressed upon the newly elected rulers to steer the country out of the energy crisis in order to affect an economic explosion.
Talking to newsmen at the Lahore airport on his return from Karachi Tuesday, he said it was a pity that a nuclear state facing a serious energy crisis.
He said, it was a happy sign that general elections had been held and a new civilian government was in the making. He said the biggest challenge before the new rulers was to overcome the energy crisis in order to provide relief to the masses, the industry, agriculturists and traders.
He said that the new rulers would have to make sacrifices by adopting austerity and simplicity, cutting down the federal and the provincial cabinets to the minimum, reducing the non productive expenditure and also control corruption.
