ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has constituted five benches including two four-member benches at the Principal seat to hear a number of important cases in the next week starting from January 24.
The first four-member bench includes the Chief Justice, Justice Muhammad Sair Ali, Justice Ghulam Rabbani (not to sit on 24) and Justice Khalil ur Rehman Ramday, the second four-member bench of Justice Javed Iqbal, Justice Raja Fayyaz Ahmed, Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, third bench of Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan, Justice Nasir ul Mulk and Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, fourth bench of Justice Mahmood Akhtar Shahid Siddiqui and Justice Khilji Arif Hussain and fifth bench of Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja and Justice Tariq Parvez will take up a number of cases.
According to cause lists, no application for adjournment through fax will be placed before the Court.If the counsel is unable to appear for any reason the Advocate-on-Record will be required to argue the case. Besides, no adjournment on any ground will be granted.
