LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League-N has emerged as the largest party with 310 seats in a house of 371 members while its nearest rival has only 25 seats in the 16th Punjab Assembly 2013-18.
During the opening day of the 16th Punjab Assembly which was chaired by Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan here Saturday, PML-Q emerged as the third largest party with meagre nine seats behind the independents with 10 seats in the newly elected assembly.
The PML-N and PTI also turned out the only political parties in the Punjab with representation on the reserved seats for the minority while the PPP, the PML-Q and other parties would not have any minority representative in the Punjab Assembly 2013-18.
