ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Tuesday re-affirmed to interpret Article 6 of the Constitution.
The remarks were passed by a three-member bench headed by Justice Jawwad S Khawaja during the hearing of high treason case against former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf.
Justice Jawwad stated that the court wants to write history in this case which would be written in law books as precedent in future.
During the course of proceeding, A K Doger counsel for Maulvi Iqbal Haider termed November 3 action by Musharraf as illegal and unconstitutional.
He maintained that Musharraf imposed emergency in the country at a time when his case of disqualification was being heard in the Sindh High Court.
Dogar maintained that only judiciary had been targeted in every sensitive time such as martial law, PCO and judges' termination.
He argued that the case should be heard in a free and fair manner so that no one could raise any objection against any decision.
His arguments were continuing when the court adjourned further hearing of the case till Wednesday.
