QUETTA: A Crime Branch (CB) of Balochistan police's team had been dispatched to the federal capital for taking former President Gen (rtd) Pervez Musharraf in custody in Nawab Mohammad Akbar Bugti murder case.
Balochistan police department sources here on Wednesday confirmed about sending the CB team to arrest former president who has already been held inmate at his residence turned sub-jail in Islamabad. " The team has been sent for arrest of former President Pervez's in compliance with orders of Anti Terrorism Court-I", the sources said.
ATC-I Quetta headed by judge Mohammad Ismail Baloch had on Tuesday last ordered arrest of Musharraf by June 24 after rejecting his plea for pre-arrest bail in Bugti murder case.
Earlier on last Monday, ATC-I Quetta had issued non bailable arrest warrants of Pervez Musharraf, former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, former Governor Balochistan Owais Ahmed Ghani and DCO Dera Bugti Abdul Samad Lasi.
