BUENOS AIRES: Argentina's closing soy prices and trends on Monday:
In the Rosario grains market, soy closed at 1,700-1,730 pesos ($315-$321) per tonne, compared with 1,690-1,720 pesos on Friday, tracking gains in nearby US soybean futures.
Trade volume was a weak 8,000 tonnes, traders said.
Soybean futures on the Chicago Board of Trade ended mixed on Monday with the front contract hitting a nine-month high on short-covering and tight cash supplies, while back months fell, traders said.
At the port of Quequen, soy closed up 30 pesos at 1,700 pesos per tonne while in Bahia Blanca, the oilseed ended 10 pesos higher at 1,710 pesos.
