ABOARD BEIJING-SHANGHAI TRAIN: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was apprised Saturday that Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Project would complete by 2016 as work on the transmission line is yet to start.
While travelling from Beijing to Shanghai through high speed train along with his entourage, the prime minister held four meetings with various delegates and discussed different development and power projects.
In a meeting with the Prime Minister, the Executive President of China's Gezhouba Company Yang Yisheng expressed willingness to execute power, infrastructure and high speed train projects in Pakistan.
He also expressed desire to take part in the construction of Diamer Bhasha Dam and that his company would strive to seek financial support from the Chinese monetary institutions.
He told the Prime Minister that his company was engaged in construction of Neelum Jhelum Hydropower Project that would complete by 2016.
He said work on project's transmission line is yet to start however his company has already submitted its bid for the purpose.
To a question, the Prime Minister was told that the transmission line would cost $200 million.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif invited Gezhouba company's head to visit Pakistan along with the project proposals of their interest for the onward discussion on those projects.
