imageISLAMABAD: A 12-member delegation of High Court Bar Association, Rawalpindi headed by its President, Taufiq Asif comprising office bearers and executive members of the Association called on the Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry here on Monday.

Welcoming the delegation, the Chief Justice said, "Bar Associations are important bodies that play a vital role in dispensation of justice".

Lauding services rendered by Rawalpindi Bar for the profession, the Chief Justice said that "the Bar is an active, experienced, committed and professional body which played a vital role for the achievement of the cause of independence of judiciary, supremacy of Constitution and Rule of law in our country".

The delegation appreciated Chief Justice's commitment, devotion and dedication for the cause of justice.

They also praised his (Chief Justice) role for enhancing public confidence in judiciary and admired the measures and the steps taken to provide expeditious and inexpensive justice to the litigants by redressing their grievances and granting them relief by settling their disputes.

They expressed the hope that the administration of justice needs his leadership and motivation to deliver justice and vowed to standby the judiciary in time of need for the glorious cause of supremacy of Constitution.

Members of the delegation also thanked the Chief Justice of Pakistan for sparing time for the meeting.

The delegation assured full support and cooperation in process of dispensation of expeditious and inexpensive justice and requested Chief Justice of Pakistan to arrange training programs at Federal Judicial Academy ,Islamabad for young lawyers.
