ISLAMABAD: Chairman of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf Imran Khan said the government of PTI was still clearing the mess left since the tenure of Maulana’s government in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa.
Talking to media persons at the Parliament House on Tuesday, the PTI chairman said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman and his allies broke the record of corruption and mal-administration during the five year tenure of their government. He said the posting, transfer and administrative affairs were destroyed in the last five years. He said the PTI was thus still involved in cleaning the dirt and mess.
He said that the May 11 elections were rigged. He said the PTI did not join Tahirul Qadri Dharna as it had full confidence in the role of the judiciary for free and fair elections. However, the assertion of Tahirul Qadri later proved to be correct. He said Akhtar Mengal, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, PPP and others were also complaining of rigging in elections.
He said the PTI is demanding verification of votes in four constituencies but no body is listening them. He said they were saying that the game was played with the connivance of election commission and the judiciary.
He said the PTI has accepted the mandate and not the rigging in elections. He said if the PTI had boycotted the Presidential elections, the love and understanding between the PML-N and MQM would not have come to the surface.
Imran Khan said the PTI would introduce biometric system in local government elections and a white paper would be published to expose the corruption before the nation.
He said the Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa was suffering from the impact of alliance with US in war and terror and the losses of drone attacks. He said the PTI government was bringing in an effective intelligence system so as to know plans about attacks on police and jails in advance. He said they were also bringing in reforms in Police and improvement in its performance would be visible in two months time.
