ISLAMABAD: Spokesman of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Islamabad said on Friday that gunman Sikandar who sustained bullet wounds in Thursday's operation in Islamabad had been taken off the ventilator.
Dr. Rizwan Taaj told reporters that 51-year-old Sikandar was breathing well but was not in a position to record his statement. He said the gunman had been taken off the ventilator.
Earlier today, senior PIMS doctor Waseem Khawaja said the gunman received one bullet each in leg, chest and abdomen, fracturing his ribs.
Khawaja said Sikandar's wife was conscious and her condition was out of danger, adding that she had also recorded her statement to police officials.
