LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) says it will not only challenge Punjab Local Govt Act in court but will also lodge a strong protest against it.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Saturday held here a meeting to discuss the Punjab Local Government Act and forthcoming Local Bodies elections. The meeting was chaired by Chairman PTI Imran Khan.
It was decided in the meeting that the said act would be challenged in the court. PTI leaders said they would approach the masses and give them awareness about the importance of LB polls. They said protest rallies would be held in this connection.
Punjab government has decided to hold the Local Bodies elections on non-party basis. The decision has been rejected by Pakistan People’s Party and Pakistan Tejreek-e-Insaf.
