ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police on Monday arrested four accused for killing five members of a family to grab property in Lohi Bher and Sehala.
Inspector General of Islamabad Police Sikandar Hayyat told a press conference that on October 14, Sehala Police received information that bodies of two men, a woman and a child were lying in an open area near GT Road.
He said the police recovred the bodies with hands and feet tied and signs of torture.
On the same day, two more bodies of a man and a woman, were also found in the bushes in Police Foundation area of Lohi Bher Police Station, he added.
He said investigation teams were formed under the supervision of SSP Muhammad Rizwan, while SP City Mustansar Feroz, SP investigation Muhammad Ilyas, ASP Abdul Aziz, DSP Malik Tahir, Sub-Inspector (SI) Muhammad ul Haq and SI Ghulam Mustafa were also their part.
The victim family was living in Saffari Villas, Bahria Town, and was permanent residents of Nowshehra while their servant Asghar was from Muzaffargarh. Among those killed included Amir Ullah Khan, his wife Nadia Amir, daughter Roman Khan and two sons Adam Khan and Haider Amir.
The police had received information through different sources about the involvement of accused Sikandar Zia, son of Zia, and the nephew of deceased Nadia Amir.
The police also collected the CCTV footage of gates of Bahria Town through which they came to know that accused Sikandar Zia went out through the gate and came back on the car of Amir Ullah the same night.
After collecting different evidences, the police arrested the accused and during investigation Sikandar Zia also confessed the crime. He also admitted that he had committed the crime with the assistance of professional killers just to grab the property owned by Amir Ullah.
Other accused including Afsar Khan, son of Sarwar Khan, Zakir Ali, son of Imam Ali and Ibrahim, son of Ejaz, were also arrested on the pointation of Sikandar Zia. AIG Operation Sultan Azam Taimuri, SSP Islamabad Dr Muhammad Rizwan, SP City Mustansar Feroz and ASP Aziz Ullah were also present at the press conference.
