KARACHI: As many as 19 illegal hydrants in the city have been demolished in the past three days.
This was stated by Sindh Minister for Information and Local Government, Sharjeel Inam Memon, here on Monday.
He said that in next few days all the illegal hydrants would be demolished.
A statement said that the Minister had warned `water hydrant mafia' to shut their illegal practises or else be ready to go to jail.
He further maintained that in the area where such hydrants would be found, the incharge of the Water Board and the Station House Officer (SHO) would be treated as the abettors.
