PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Pervez Khattak while thanking the doctor community for ending their strike against rise in kidnapping cases of doctors from Peshawar said on Saturday a judicial commission comprising judges of High Court would be formed for inquiry of abduction cases.
The Chief Minister termed ending of the strikes in hospitals as wise decision and assured that provincial govt would leave no stone unturned for security and well being of the doctors.
"We are endeavoring for the same purpose of a safe, healthy and prosperous nation and hence we are not to revenge the poor patients by strikes in hospitals for any lapse on part of security officials", he added.
Earlier a delegation of Doctor Coordination Committee (DCC) comprising all the associations of Senior and junior doctor's representatives called on the Chief Minister and apprised him of the concern and sense of unrest prevalent among the doctors community due to abduction of Dr. Amjad Taqweem and Dr. Mujahid Bangesh.
The Chief Minister while accepting all the demands of the DCC directed the Secretary Home and Peshawar Police Chief to start work on it immediately.
In view of these demands, SHO Tatara Hayatabad was immediately suspended for negligence in duty.
City Police Chief was asked to immediately meet Chief Executives of all three teaching hospitals of Peshawar to chalk out foolproof security plan for doctors and appoint new security officials on emergency basis if required.
Similarly the illegal occupants in doctor hostels would be forcibly and promptly ousted.
Home department was asked to install GSM trackers, scanners and CCTV cameras on important places for security of the doctors.
Similarly quick response force would be setup for safety of doctors while the boundary wall around Hayatabad would be completed on emergent basis.
He said that abduction of doctors in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and other parts of the country was a matter of great concern but we had to show prudence and patience in the present critical circumstances.
However he assured that provincial government would not allow repeating such incidents and hence not only safe recovery of the abducted doctors would be ensured but a brisk security plan would be chalked out for safety of doctor community and would be implemented in letter and spirit.
