MUMBAI: Indian shares climbed more than 0.3 percent early on Tuesday tracking gains in Asian peers and helped by lower oil prices that could provide some relief to offset negative sentiment.
At 9:16 a.m. (0346 GMT), the 30-share BSE index was up 0.31 percent at 18,050.49 points, with 24 components gaining.
The 50-share NSE index was up 0.36 percent at 5,406.15 points.
