SIALKOT: Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has urged the government to prepare an advanced trade strategy to ensure the maximum consumption of traditional and non-traditional export items in the international and markets following the global challenges of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
Talking to the media, the SCCI Vice President Mirza Qaisar Baig urged the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) to announce a special package of incentives for the Sialkot business community, which is busy in earning foreign exchange of $1.2 billion annually.
He said that Sialkot exporters have great potential for exploring and capturing international export markets through diversification of traditional and non-traditional export items.
He urged the TDAP to also come forward in removing all bureaucratic hindrances to smoothen the way for enhancement of national exports.
