KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that Karachi has witnessed decline in major crimes such as kidnapping, target killing, extortion and murders for which the role of Rangers and police needs to be appreciated.
CM Sindh was talking to media after inuagrating the police FM radio 88.6 here on Tuesday at Police Head Office.
He said that Karachi is the largest city of the country and the government is making all possible efforts for restoration of peace and supporting Rangers and Police for the purpose.
He said that police radio will prove to be the effective source against extortion and other crimes.
He said that through FM 88.6 people will be easily able to register their complaints regarding crimes through landline on 021- 9921663 and through cell phone on 8881 by sms.
He said that the citizens must register their complaints on police radio so that the police can take action against criminals.
He said that Sindh government is working on Thar Coal project since 2008. "We welcome the Federal government's interest in Thar Coal Project and it will help in its early completion" said Qaim.
He said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will be informed about hurdles in completion of project.
