eobiISLAMABAD: During the tenure of the present government Employees Old Age Benefit Institution (EOBI) benefits package for its registered employees, has been improved and currently it is paying Rs830 million every month to over 300,000 pensioners.

EOBI Chairman Zafar Iqbal Gondal said this while briefing Minister for Labour Wajahat Hussain and Minister of State for Labour Waqas Akram, who visited EOBI here Saturday.

Gondal briefed about the EOBI Investments and its future projects, including IT solution and Human Resource.

The chairman said EOB contribution collection was raised from Rs5 billion in 2008 to Rs7.6 billion till May 2011 and the institution will collect Rs10 billion by the end of the current financial year.

The Ministers appreciated the working of EOBI and advised the officers to put the best of their efforts to serve the working community and pensioners to whom the EOB Fund belongs.
