imageLAGOS: Nigeria sold 275.09 billion naira ($1.68 billion) worth of treasury bills with maturities ranging between 3 months and one year on Wednesday, with higher yields on the six months and one year tenor, and slightly lower on the 3-month paper.

The central bank said on Thursday it sold 22.97 billion naira in 91-day treasury bills at 11.89 percent, slightly lower than 11.9 percent yield attracted at the previous auction on Feb. 19.

A total of 65 billion naira worth was sold in the 182-day paper at 13.35 percent, against 13.14 percent previously, while 187.12 billion naira in 364-day note was sold at 13.50 percent, compared with 13.19 percent previously.

Total subscription stood at 314.83 billion naira, with one year paper attracting the highest demand of 212.33 billion naira at the auction.
