ISLAMABAD: Pakistani fast bowling great Waqar Younis has said that the young batsman Umar Akmal should be sent up the order to bat in WC T-20.
Talking to a private news channel, former coach said that he was impressed by Akmal's career-best performance against Australia, which helped Pakistan register a 16-run win over Ausies.
He said that Pakistan must take full advantage of the way Akmal is batting at the moment.
"Skipper Hafeez should look to give him even more confidence by sending him up the order which will help the team as well as boost the confidence of young Umer", Waqar advised.
He also hailed the role of Kamran Akmal , who combined with his brother in a 96-run third wicket partnership made Pakistan put up a great total of 191 against Australia.
He said that right now team Pakistan is in great form and all the players are determined to grab the victory in the tournament which is good sign.
He said that only team player will be able to register his performances in the tournament.
He hoped that Pakistan will win this world cup again with commendable performances as it did in 1992 under the great captaincy of Imran Khan.
