ROTTERDAM: Soymeal on the European meals and feeds market was offered narrowly mixed on Thursday, following CBOT soymeal futures while players sought fresh clues on market direction.
"There was little fresh market moving news to work with and that kept both sides of the market mostly sidelined, especially with sentiment leaning to bearish," one broker said.
South American soymeal was mostly offered between $6 a tonne up and $2 a tonne down from Wednesday, mainly tracking CBOT soymeal futures.
Old-crop EU rapemeal was offered as much as seven euros per tonne down, while new crop gained one to two euros, following the trend in rapeseed futures, and closing the gap between old and new crop slightly to 35 euros. The offerings did not impress buyers and no deals were reported.
