Raza Haroon visits CDGK's Machinery Pool

KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Information Technology, Raza Haroon, has directed the City District Government Karachi (CDGK) to bring all those vehicles and road cleaning machinery on roads which were presently stationed at Machinery Pool due to repairing works.

During an unscheduled visit of City Government's Machinery Pool and Workshop at Mewashah along with EDO Municipal Services, Masood Alam, he instructed to arrange for minor repairing in these vehicles and machinery within 24 hours.

Taking strict notice that the vehicles and machinery had been stationed in machinery pool after developing minor faults, he directed the concerned department to devise such a system where such faults in vehicles could be removed immediately.

The Minister also issued directive for distribution of these vehicles and machinery among the towns on equal basis and their usage in cleaning works.

The Provincial Minister also instructed to set up garbage transfer station at the outer edges of towns so that the removed garbage could be dispatched to landfill site easily.

Meanwhile, Raza Haroon paid a visit to various towns to check the ongoing cleanliness drive in the city.
