Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was a great leader: Sharmila

KARACHI: A former adviser to the Sindh chief minister, Ms. Sharmila Faruqui, has said that personalities like Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto are born in centuries.

She was not only the leader of Pakistan but she was also a world famed leader and that her personality works like beacon light for the women of Pakistan.

This she said in a statement issued here on Tuesday on the occasion of the 58th birthday of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

Ms. Sharmila said that the life of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was the symbol of practical struggle and her movement against dictatorship would be written in the history of Pakistan with golden words.

She added that there was a best way to pay tribute to her on her birthday that we should donate blood more and more in order to serve the suffering humanity.

Ms. Sharmila Faruqui said that Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed had a charismatic personality and whoever met her was really impressed by her personality.

She said that President Asif Ali Zardari is fulfilling the dreams of Mohtarma through following political reconciliation policy and he has strengthened the democratic institutions.

She said that Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed dream Pakistan free from extremism and terrorism, where our new generations could live freely and without fear.

She requested Pakistani women to follow foot prints of her great leader in their lives.

On Tuesday Ms Sharmila visited Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, to pay tribute to Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed where an exhibition of Photographer of BB Shaheed in going on. It is being organized by Sindh Culture Department.
