ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid has said Allama Tahir-ul-Qadri knew that the government was leading a war against terrorists and Pak Army was engaged in Zarb e Azb but he wanted to create an environment conducive for the terrorists.
In a statement on Saturday, Senator Pervaiz Rashid said Qadri, by doing that, wanted to disunite the nation and shift the focus from Zarb e Azb to his agitational politics.
"Qadri is conspiring against operation Zarb e Azb, the Constitution and democracy," the Minister underlined.
He said Tahir-ul-Qadri knew that he can not survive in a democratic rule so he wanted to create chaos in the country.
Pervaiz Rashid further said Qadri was part and parcel of the regime which had conducted the most rigged elections and referendum of 2002.
He said Qadri had also kept quiet over the plunderer of Bank of Punjab and NICL, because they were his allies now.
Tahir-ul-Qadri would fail like he failed last year, the minister said.
