TRIPOLI: Forces from the Libyan city Misrata seized Tripoli's main airport on Saturday after weeks battling a rival group, a Misrata spokesman and Arab news channels said.
Pictures circulating on social media purportedly showed Misrata fighters celebrating near the near terminal building. It was not possible immediately to verify the pictures.
