MULTAN: Vice President Pakistan Central Cotton Committee Dr Khalid Abdullah has urged cotton scientists to develop new varieties in line with the demands of domestic and international markets.
He was talking to cotton scientists during his visit to different cotton fields at Central Cotton Research Institute here on Monday.
He urged the scientist to address various challenges faced by cotton and also focus on quality production.
He inspected different cotton fields where insect resistant cotton varieties BTCIM-179, BTCIM-177, BTCIM-622 and BTCIM-616 were cultivated on experimental basis.
Director Central Cotton Research Institute Syed Sajid Masood Shah and other scientist also briefed Dr Khalid Abdullah about research results.
