Commerce minister visits flood-hit areas of Gujranwala

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Commerce Khurram Dastgir Khan visited Head Khanki and adjoining areas to inspect the flood relief activities.

Commerce minister expressed his satisfaction over relief activities for the affected population, Radio Pakistan reported.

"Many lives have been saved with timely and successful rescue operation in the area", he said.

Dastgir said that all basic needs were being provided to flood affectees in 9 relief centres set up in the district including food, medicines and fodder for their cattle.
