SANTIAGO: Chile's government said on Monday it sees trend growth for gross domestic product averaging 4.3 percent and prices for copper, the country's main export, averaging $3.07 per pound.
The forecast for trend growth, which is the economy's capacity for growth over the medium term adjusted for cyclical factors, was calculated by 17 experts hired by the Finance Ministry.
The trend growth and copper price forecasts are used to help the government elaborate its 2015 fiscal budget.
