ISLAMABAD: Federal Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique on Thursday said the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI ) had failed to deliver in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Talking to media outside the Parliament House, he said, that instead of sit-ins Imran Khan should focus on development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
PTI chief Imran Khan and his leaders are ignoring countrymen trapped in floods, he added.
He said that Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak left the province despite massive displacement of people due to operation Zarb-e-Azb. Khawaja Saad Rafique called for "release of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and his cabinet from dharna jail". He asked on whose agenda organizers of the sit-ins were working.
The minister said from the day one PTI chief is misleading the nation and giving wrong facts and figures regarding elections results and economy through their speeches.
He said Imran Khan had failed to gather masses in the sit-in. He said it was unfortunate that Imran Khan had attacked police personnel and police stations and illegally freed arrested persons.
The minister said those who were blaming and insulted the judiciary are now seeking help of Supreme Court.
Three presidents have postponed their visits to Pakistan due to PTI and PAT sit-ins, Saad said.
He said that the sit-ins have caused a huge loss to the economy of the country. He said that the organizers of the sit-ins want to create hindrance in the Chinese investment in the country.
He condemned the language being used against Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and former Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Chaudhry. He said what kind of Azadi, Imran Khan wanted to bring with help of powerful landlords and what kind of Inqilab Tahir-ul-Qadri wanted to bring with assistance of Mustafa Khar and Chaudhry brothers.
He said Imran Khan and Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri are using children and woman as human shields.
