Meezan Bank awarded Best Islamic Financial Institution
KARACHI: The first and largest Islamic bank in Pakistan, Meezan Bank, was awarded the Best Islamic Financial Institution by the Global Finance magazine at its Annual Awards for the World’s Best Islamic Financial Institutions 2011.
The winners were judged on the basis of contributing to growth of Islamic financing and successfully meeting customers’ needs for Shariah-compliant products and creating a foundation for continued fast growth in future.
All selections were made by editors of Global Finance, after consultation with bankers and corporate finance executives. Other factors considered were growth in assets, profitability, geographic reach, strategic relationships, new business development and innovation in products.
