The world gears up for 2016 American elections. The suspense is that whether Republicans will be able to take back the White House or Democrats continue. Although, it seems that the Republican Party with Donald Trump and a long list of presidential hopefuls are in deep waters, but the reality is that the Democratic Party does not find itself in a great position either.
Hillary Clinton has waited long to become a presidential candidate and after losing the Democratic primary to President Obama in 2008, she has polished herself well by adding additional credential of foreign diplomacy in her resume.
Without a doubt, Mrs. Clinton is facing series problems from her own doings and her fortunes. It is rather an interesting fact that the hatred of the former first family in the United States created an industry whose sole job is to attack the Clintons. This time around, she is facing questions with regards to her email practices during her tenure at the State Department.
According to one source within the Democratic Party, this email issue is becoming a ‘classic Clinton scandal’. Another reason why Mrs. Clinton and Democrat’s are in trouble is the mentality of American voters. After, the two-decade control over White House by Democrats in 1952, voters sent a Republican to the Pennsylvania Avenue. This pattern was broken only twice, but that was only for one term. Besides this, for more than sixty years, voters have only given two terms to each party.
With these issues in hand and no serious candidate to challenge Mrs. Clinton there is chance that she might face series difficulties come November 2016. However, this does not mean that former first lady does not have what it takes to win. She has clearly demonstrated it during her New York Senate run.
