RAHIM YAR KHAN: As many as 2772 laptops were awarded to talented students of Bahawalpur division on the behalf of Punjab government by provincial Minister Ch. Mohammad Shafique.
While addressing the students of Ghulam Fareed Post graduate college, Provinicial Minister for commerce & trade Ch Muhammad Shafique said that Chief Minister, Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif has initiated various projects for better future of youth.
In this context he added that many talented students were getting education in various universities through Chief Minister Punjab's endowment fund, whereas position holders of Board were also sent to top universities of the world on educational visits.
The minister said that population of south Punjab is 32% of the entire province whereas 36% budget has been provided by Punjab government. "It is for this reason that Punjab government is able to provide good facilities of health and education in DG Khan , Bhawalnagar and Lodhran".
Referring to sit-ins in Islamabad, he said that PAT has ended it while the second is left with few people only, adding that people have strong political awareness and understand who can best deliver. He regretted that due to politics of sit-ins, the country lost precious foreign investments.
