Human Rights lawyer and George Clooney new wife Amal Alamuddin has been named ‘London’s most powerful women’ ahead of Kate Middleton and Victoria Beckham.
According to foreign media reports, The human rights lawyer finished fourth overall on the list of ‘London’s most powerful personality’, behind Britain’s Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne, the Mayor of London Boris Johnson, and businessman Demis Hassabis, who founded Deep Mind Technologies.
This list, officially called ‘The 1000 most influential Londoners 2014’ features 1,000 people and at the fourth spot, she was placed higher than even Kate Middleton, Victoria Beckham, Prince Harry and Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, media reported.
Mrs. George has fought many high-profile cases including Wikileaks founder Julian Assange and former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko. Currently she has been working on the case of the marble sculptures, which were taken from the Parthenon in the Greek capital by a British diplomat in 1803 and are currently housed in the British Museum.
Amal Alamuddin who recently changed her sir name to ‘Clooney’, her equally influential husband wasn’t even listed in the top 20.
