Sindh CM, Rehman Malik co-chair high-level meeting
KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Thursday co-chaired a high level meeting at the CM House here.
The meeting reviewed the over all law and order situation prevailing in the province of Sindh since last night, said a statement.
The Sindh CM and Interior Minister Rehman Malik appreciated the role of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain for his call to his party workers to end their protest, with the result that the situation turned towards normalcy in the city.
The Sindh CM expressed his sorrow over loss of human lives and damages caused to properties.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Rehman Malik directed the law enforcing agencies to have proper arrangements for protection of lives and properties of the people.
The reports presented by law enforcing agencies were discussed in detail and ways and means were also evolved for smooth running of routine life in the city.
The meeting was attended by IG Sindh Police, Wajid Ali Durrani, Acting DG Rangers Sindh, Brig. Zafar Iqbal and other notables.
