Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi is set to play former Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin in a biopic. Emraan Hashmi confirmed the news saying Azharuddin biopic is very interesting for him.
As source revealed that, the film will encompass Azhar’s entire life, from when he was 17 to his ascent as the captain of the Indian cricket team, and even the controversies associated with him in the later years. So, Emraan will have to look like a 17-year-old as well as a 51-year-old during the course of the film.
According to Indian media reports, ‘Jannat’ actor confirmed that he is doing a biopic on the famous cricketer's life. Emraan revealed that it will be quite interesting to see how the narrative unfolds on screen.
Bollywood tagged kisser said in an interview to an Indian media, “I know people are making biopics just for the heck of it. Biopic should be made on people who have faced conflicts in life, people who have gone through ups and downs and had a complete life. In that sense, there is no one more interesting than Azhar to make a film on”.
‘Jannat’ director Kunal Deshmukh, who has directed Hashmi in many films, will once again direct Azheruddin biopic for Emraan Hashmi. Deshmukh and Hashmi have worked together in ‘Jannat’, ‘Jannat 2’, ‘Tum Mile’ and ‘Raja Natwarlal’.
