Hollywood controversial actress Lindsay Lohan has revealed that she wanted to play Rachel McAdams' role of Regina George in ‘Mean Girls’, while McAdams originally wanted to play Cady. But Lindsay was cast as the heroine Cady Heron in ‘Mean Girls’.
‘Mean Girls’ 2004 is one of the most memorable teenage movies especially for the girls. It was one of the biggest box-office hit for Lindsay Lohan too earning $129 million worldwide. Recently, Lindsay Lohan has been trying to convince the makers of ‘Mean Girls’ to make its sequel which was released 10 years ago.
According to media reports the troubled actress said, “I had finished ‘Freaky Friday’ not long before with Mark Waters. I had gone to Toronto and I was doing ‘Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen’. Mark came out to scout locations for ‘Mean Girls’ and came to see me at my hotel and said, 'Do you wanna do this movie?”
“I wanted to play Regina. I had just played in Confessions and Freaky, not the cool girl in school. I was still 17 years old and I wanted to be the cool girl on set. So I had a war with him, and he goes, 'No, Cady is the heroine, and that's who you are?” She added.
Lohan has recently moved to London to make her stage debut in ‘Speed-the-Plow’.
