American Veteran actress Carol Ann Susi is best known for voicing Howard’s unseen mother on the TV comedy drama ‘The Big Bang Theory’ has died in Los Angeles aged 62 after a brief battle with cancer .
According to media reports CBS Warner Bros. said in a statement, “‘The Big Bang Theory’ family has lost a beloved member today with the passing of Carol Ann Susi, who hilariously and memorably voiced the role of Mrs. Wolowitz”.
Reportedly, ‘The Big Bang Theory’ executive producers Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro and Bill Prady said in a statement, “Unseen by viewers, the Mrs. Wolowitz character became a bit of a mystery throughout the show's eight seasons and Carol Ann was a constant source of joy and kindness to all. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with her family during this time, and we will miss her greatly”.
In addition to ‘Big Bang Theory’, she had roles in Cheers, Doogie Howser, M.D., Mad about You, Just Shoot Me, Seinfeld, The King of Queens and Six Feet Under. Susi was also active on stage, appearing in productions as ‘Justin Tanner’s Heartbreak Help’ and ‘Coyote Women’.
Carol Ann had been survived by her brother Michael Susi and his wife Connie.
