Former England captain David Beckham is following his wife Victoria’s footstep by launching his own fashion line. Beckham and his long term business partner Simmon Fuller might launch sportswear as well as clothing line.
According to foreign media reports, Beckham with his business partner Simon Fuller has signed a deal with Global Brands, a Hong Kong-based consumer brands supplier which also distributes Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger. Former soccer star said, “This is a partnership that is very exciting for me. Throughout my career I’ve had quite a few sponsorship deals but this takes it to a different level, a different area. I’ve gone from being in a sponsorship deal to now becoming an owner. It’s an area I’m really excited about”.
When asked about her wife collaboration he said, “Her business is separate from this but obviously she’s part of this too because we’re partners. We’re husband and wife. She’s excited about this”.
It’s not the first time Beckham has toyed with the fashion industry. Previous collaborations include H&M, Adidas, Belstaff and his bestselling fragrance partnership with Coty Inc.
