PM assures NA maintaining peace in Karachi
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani Friday assured the National Assembly that the government will maintain peace in Karachi urging all political leadership to come up with solution in order to improve situation in Karachi.
Karachi's stability is interlinked with political and economic stability of the country, therefore we can’t afford any instability in Karachi, the Prime Minister said while speaking in the National Assembly.
He condemned the incident of gang-war in Maleer-Landhi that resulted killing of people and sought report from provincial government over the incident. He said that the findings of the report will be presented before the house.
I directed the chief whip of the party from London to ensure quorum in the present session so that a debate could be held on this important issue and get suggestions from the parliamentarians, he said.
