KHUZDAR: At least four persons, including a leader of Balochistan National Party (BNP) were killed by unidentified armed men in Khuzdar district on Friday.
According to a Levis Force official, BNP leader Mir Juma Khan Raisani along with his guards was on way to his home after offering Firday prayers when unknown gunmen riding a motorbike opened indiscriminate fire on his vehicle. Raisani along with Mohammad Ishaq, Mohammad Zarif and Mohammad Bakhsh died on the spot.
The personnel of law enforcement agencies reached the site soon after the incident and launched search operation for the suspects.
Meanwhile, BNP president Dr Jhanzaib Jamaldini, General Secretary Jhanzaib Baloch and Secretary Information Agha Hassan Baloch condemned the killing of their leader and announced five-day mourning and holding of protest demonstrations across the province.
