Disney's Oscar winning film 'Frozen' has dominated the 2014 iTunes downloads and became iTunes' biggest-selling movie ever. While its soundtrack album also made it to the top, selling more copies than any other albums released in the US for 2014.
According to media reports, The hit Disney movie ‘Frozen’ tops the list for the bestselling films in 2014, ahead of ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’, while the soundtrack has beaten Taylor Swift's 1989 to the top of the albums chart in the U.S. Ed Sheeran’s X was 2014's bestselling album in the U.K, while Pharrell Williams' ‘Happy’ is the biggest single of the year in both markets. ‘Game of Thrones’ has been named bestselling TV show, and John Green's ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ is iTunes' top book.
Disney’s ‘Frozen’ was released in November 2013 and became a major blockbuster hit for Walt Disney. The movie has also won two Academy Awards for ‘Best Animated Feature Film’ and ‘Best Achievement in Music’ and it is currently the fifth-highest-grossing film of all time, with an estimate earning of more than $1.27 billion worldwide.
