CM chairs meeting
KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, on Tuesday presided a high level meeting to review the budget 2011-12 issues of new commissonerate system at the CM House here.
An official statement said that the meeting was attended among others by Sindh Finance Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, Sindh Chief Secretary, Raja Muhammad Abbas, Additional Chief Secretary (P&D), Muhammad Ishaque Lashari,
It said that the Accountant General Sindh, Azam Khan, Secretary Finance Sindh, Naveed Kamran Baloch, Secretary Local Government, Ali Ahmed Lund, Secretary to the Sindh Chief Minister, Alamuddin Bullo, Additional Accountant General Sindh, representative of I.G. Police Sindh and others were present.
The meeting discussed in detail the financial and budgetary issues keeping in view the changed scenario.
It was informed that the allocation for salary of three months with POL and others essential heads have already been released to all departments so that there is no problem to any government employee of the former district governments.
It was further informed that the Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners have been made the drawing and disbursing officers (DDO's) of respective jurisdictions/ limits so as to resolve financial issues pertaining to salary and recurring expenditure.
It was made clear in the meeting that there will be no problem of salary to any employee.
It was further informed that the devolved departments have been made regular sections of respective provincial departments.
The Sindh Chief Minister further directed that all changes and needs be fulfilled within three months.
He directed the Sindh Chief Secretary to hold a meeting on Wednesday and discuss all issues including budgetary allcation for development schemes, monitoring and evaluation system and submit necessary report.
